memphisbird said 2/7 at 7:48am I have been using SWF'n Slide Pro since it first came out, which must be about three years ago. I had bought all their applications previously, and I upgraded from the regular version to pro when it was introduced. It is very simple to use and even though I own other applications that can do some of the same things, I most frequently use SWF'n Slide Pro because it's fast to open, it's fast to make slideshows, and if I have the time to add bells and whistles, I can do things in here like pan and zoom, add text, add filters, borders, use multiple transitions, and I can even link each image to a URL. I'm pointing that out specifically, because the lately touted and, yes, pretty, Bannerzest, a product with similar features, makes you pay their pro version for $129 if you want to link your images to a URL. Their regular version at $49 won't let you link to anything. |
big77 said 2/7 at 12:32am The relatively modest system requirements listed on their website seem to be in conflict with reviews complaining about necessity of powerful machines. Suggest trying it out on your hardware before buying. |
Frederic Tremblay said 2/7 at 12:16am @MuPromo Fan Yeah, $35 is the regular price of the standard version. |
MuPromo Fan said 2/7 at 12:15am According to the website, there is both a standard and a pro version and this one is the pro version. |
artist-illustrator said 2/7 at 3:49am anything that makes Flash easier is good! there are quite a few apps around that do this kind of stuff and the Pro version of SWF 'n Slide is quite a good one to go with. getting the Pro version for the price of the 'non Pro' version is a good deal because the 'non Pro' version isn't worth getting |
parkerbennett said 2/7 at 12:16am Really great to see this one offered. I've looked at it on numerous occasions, but always found the price an obstacle. $35 seems about right. |
musi said 2/7 at 10:38pm I'm wondering if I need this since I can make slide shows in a few apps, but I'm giving it some thought. |

I can see why some developers offer "lite" or standard and "pro" versions, but the difference in features between the two for this app just doesn't make much sense. For instance, you can't automatically time a slide show to the audio in the standard version like in the pro. How can that be explained as anything other than an intentional omission of a critical feature for an app like this, not for developing / support reasons, but as just a sales gimmick?
